[Korea] 2010 Itaewon Global Village Festival - Oct. 15th to 17th

The 2010 Itaewon Global Village Festival will bring a variety of international entertainment and delicacies to the streets of Itaewon from October 15th to 17th.

The festival will begin on Friday evening with events such as modern Gugak (Korean traditional music) and belly-dance performances and concerts starting from 18:00 near Noksapyeong Station on subway line No. 6. On Saturday afternoon, the festivities start again with the official opening ceremony and a street parade with ambassadors from 45 nations. Participants from 22 countries including Indonesia, Nigeria and Mongolia will join the parade dressed in their traditional clothing. Concerts and street performances will take place through the night and will be joined by a special presentation by the Nanta musical performers.

Performances will continue through Sunday on the concert stage near Noksapyeong Station. Throughout the festival, attendees can sample global delicacies at booths along the world cuisine street.
